Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the Building Materials warehouse. 1. Operates equipment, such as a forklift and F250 in a safe and efficient manner. 2. Conduct routine tasks that will require general warehouse activities such as lifting, and or moving materials with or without assistance and other routine tasks that may require the use of hand tools. 3. Assist in organizing inventory to be safely and efficiently retrieved or stored. 4. Complete required paperwork for accounting, payroll, operations or material inventory as directed. 5. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors. 6. Must work as needed, given the unpredictability of how long jobs or trips will take, including overtime, nights, and weekends. 7. Perform other duties as assigned. 8. Regular attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent. 2. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record 3. Excellent customer service. 4. Ability to work efficiently and timely. 5. Ability to read and write to complete proper paperwork. 6. Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory locations. 7. Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and DMV check.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Construction Building Materials experience 2. High school graduate or GED equivalent. 3. Valid commercial driver’s license.
Physical Requirments
1. Requires walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree. 2. Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 3. Requires the use of hands for grasping and fine manipulations. 4. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. 5. Head movement/rotation moving head in any direction (up, down, side to side). 6. Requires climbing in and out of flatbed truck multiple times a day. 7. Wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) in accordance with company policy.
