We are looking for a General Manager to join team. This position is responsible to direct and coordinate activities of area materials operations to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. Establish good relationships with current customers and continually grow the market for materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Experience Duration: Over 4 years up to and including 10 years from post high school, work, military, institutional, or vocational environment.

2. Construction Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Construction industry.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Directs and coordinate activities of area materials operations to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. Plans and develops organization policies and goals, and implements goals through administrative personnel. Coordinates activities of divisions or departments to effect operational efficiency and economy. Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position in industry. Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program or operations changes to be implemented.

2. Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.

3. Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.

4. Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of personnel.

5. Directs and coordinates activities of leadership and/or plant personnel.

6. Confers with onsite personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

7. Help build relationships with new customers and maintains good relationships with existing customers.

8. Review quotes/bids when applicable.

9. Assist with area budgets and review of monthly financials for accuracy and accountability.

10. Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing, or trade associations.

11. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.

12. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors

13. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.

14. Frequently working in an environment with: Sitting, standing, talking, hearing, and need for near acuity.
Occasionally working in an environment with: Climbing, reaching, handling, fingering, loud noises.

15. While performing daily tasks, may be required to lift and/or up to 20# occasionally, up to 10# frequently and constantly negligible.

16. Performs other duties as assigned.
