We have an excellent opportunity for a Preventive Maintenance Technician on swing shift in Sherwood (Portland), Oregon! No Experience? Not a problem. We can help you train for this Career! We will train you to perform all aspects of this job as well as help you get an Oregon Commercial Driver's License and HAZMAT endorsement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, services and annual Interstate inspections - Complete all paperwork that may be necessary on a variety of units, including construction equipment, paving equipment, trucks and trailers and mining equipment - Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, including Hazmat and tanker endorsements, a medical card and clean driving record: Knife River will assist with training and expense - Must be able to obtain your own PM technician hand tools by end of probation, Knife River does provide large tools and has a replacement policy - Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed - Other duties assigned as needed Hours: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts and weekends. Compensation: The wage range for this position is $28.25-$45.12/hr. (Wage includes $3.00 swing shift pay differential).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive One on One on the Job training will be supplied for this position! - Must be a reliable and highly motivated self-starter, who can work without direct supervision - Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, medical card and clean driving record: Knife River will assist with training and expense - Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen - Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
