Job Summary:
Responsible to direct and coordinate activities of operation to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

To establish good relationships with current customers, contact potential customers, create lasting customer relations to continually grow the market for ready mix products.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Directs and coordinate activities of specified operation to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. Plans and develops organization policies and goals, and implements goals through administrative personnel. Directs and coordinates promotion of products or services to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position in industry. Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program or operations changes to be implemented.
2. Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.
3. Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
4. Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
5. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority
6. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel
7. Reviews status report and prepares project reports
8. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
9. Meets with customers to satisfy their needs
10. Builds relationships with new customers and maintains good relationships with existing customers
11. Follow through with customer satisfaction on jobs awarded. Monitor product quality during delivery and installation. Promotes organization in industry or trade associations.
12. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
13. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
14. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
16. Strong estimating background.
17. Strong knowledge of aggregate processing. Asphalt production and laydown, Ready Mix and construction operations (grading, concrete, paving and other related areas.)
18. Ability to work on a work force development program.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Over 4 years up to and including 10 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment.
2. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
