We have a terrific opportunity for a self-motivated experienced Equipment Shop Foreman based in Bryan Texas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling repairs, ordering parts, troubleshooting equipment, and jumping into a technician’s role when required. Applicant must have competent computer skills, strong communication, strong work ethic, experience leading people and strong organizational skills. This position requires working knowledge of standard mechanic's tools and the ability to use them in the correct application.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. -Must meet Knife River-South employment standards with regards to background/MVR checks. -Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime). -Ability to work outside in all seasons. -Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required. -Over 2 years from post high school, work, military, or vocational environment preferred. -Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy equipment and truck repair field. -Prefer minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role. -Provide and maintain proper licenses and certifications. Physical Demands: -Requires walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree. -Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. -Requires the use of hands for grasping and fine manipulations. -Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. -Head movement/rotation moving head in any direction (up, down, side to side). -Requires climbing in and out of trucks, on and off Equipment, multiple times a day.
