This position will report to the North and West Division VP’s. Office could be located at one of our locations in Salem or Portland, OR. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Oversee Asphalt plant operations and sales. - High focus on safety, revenue, profitably, and efficiencies. - Responsible for negotiation of liquid asphalt and burner fuels for decreased cost and higher margins. - Represent Knife River at a State and Local level at trade associations. - Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all permit and operating requirements for each production site. - Ensure agency compliance at all locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have 5 years minimum experience of asphalt production, paving, financials, and sales. - Must be able to organize and prioritize work, have good knowledge of production cost, manage time efficiently and handle difficult situations. - Understand asphalt mix designs, test procedures, and the consequences of changing variables. - Computer literacy and mechanical understanding of the plants. - Need to have strong written and verbal communication skills. - Must have a clean driving record. - Ability to pass a criminal background check.
