The Manager of Corporate Development will work as a member of the leadership team, supporting the VP of Corporate Development and the Mountain Region President on acquisitions, strategy development and other key projects and strategic initiatives. This position will source deals and lead the acquisition process from beginning through closing. You will collaborate with region presidents and other members of the senior leadership team across the corporation on various strategy development initiatives and acquisition projects. The role will also collaborate across regions on projects, processes, and experiences. The Manager of Corporate Development will take a lead role in acquisition opportunities, being able to execute a variety of activities related to sourcing, evaluating, and closing acquisitions with minimal oversight.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking or consulting
• Strong financial, analytical, forecasting, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong drive to achieve and continue learning.
• Ability to travel approximately up to 40%
Job Responsibilities:
• Take a lead role executing the acquisition (M&A) process including, market and business assessments, sourcing, due diligence, valuation analysis, contract negotiation, integration, and post-closing issue resolution.
• Analyze market reports and company information to assess potential acquisition opportunities.
• Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate businesses.
• Draft proposals, presentations, and other deliverables for senior leadership in support of acquisitions, investments, and other strategic initiatives
• Lead diligence processes, coordinating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate integration planning and participate in its execution
• Prepare ad-hoc research for the VP of Strategy & Development, Region President, and other members of the management team.
• Assist with the development of strategic plans for various operations.
