Job Summary:
Job Responsibilities will include: Manage Quality Control Department including multiple remote mobile laboratories. Responsibility for financial efficiency and performance of Quality Control Department in support of all operations (Aggregates, Redi-Mix, Asphalt, and Construction). Build and maintain Quality Control teams and personnel. Work amongst industry peers through trade associations on Quality Related issues. Develop Quality Control Cost Estimates for Estimating Department on projects. Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures. Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements. Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings. Understand and execute the required testing procedures in conformance with the contract documents and industry standards. Create/Prepare outgoing correspondence to the clients, subcontractors, and other outside entities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and professionalism of work. Monitor, document and track Quality Control documents including, but not limited to Quality Control Plans, Daily Reports, Testing Reports, and Inspection Reports Review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties.
Minimum Qualifications:
*B.S. degree in related field/fields Construction Management or 5 years equivalent vocational experience. *Reasoning ability equivalent to a level of applying principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions. *Ability to read technical literature and to write and review technical reports. *Mathematical ability equivalent to adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing all units of measure including decimal fractions. Ability to apply various concepts of Algebra and Statistics to work. *Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations
