Reduce Company environmental risk and position the company as a good neighbor and environmentally conscious community member. Keep abreast of changing environmental laws. Manage the process of obtaining and securing land use permits for Company operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. BA/BS in Environmental Management or related field. 2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of environmental programs for industry, a regulatory government agency, similar organization, or significant industry experience with strong environmental focus. 3. Experience writing environmental and scientific reports. 4. Experience speaking in a public setting. 5. Must possess a valid state license and have an acceptable driving record.

Duties and Responsibilities
1.Ensure EPA, DNR, State, and local environmental regulation compliance. 2.Work with Company managers to prepare required land use permit application for timely submission to local government units. 3.Work with the aggregate team to design and implement a mining plan that minimizes material handling costs and maximizes total value of resource while protecting the environment in the process. 4.Provide leadership, training and inspections of earth moving operations to assure our compliance to storm water runoff requirements in our mining operations and construction projects. 5.Work closely with team members to create appropriate operational plans in support of conditional use permit requests. 6.Prepare for and participate in public hearings regarding requests for land use with local governments or decision-making bodies. 7.Participate in or speak at public hearings providing expert advice and information with confidence. 8.Sign all land use permit applications on behalf of the company. 9.Maintain/oversee gravel site files and databases including lease renewals and permit conditions. 10.Establish good public relations in an ongoing effort to build and maintain a “good neighbor” rapport with both the public and local government units regarding all gravel site operations. 11.Manage Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure program. 12.Keep abreast of current and changing State/EPA regulations impacting KRC operations. 13.Complete and oversee regular operations inspections to identify corrective actions. 14.Implement annual training which teaches regulations, compliance practices, company policy and common-sense approaches to environmental protection. 15.Performs other duties as assigned.
